Safety
Ballooning safety is simply a matter of following common sense. Some tips to use are:
- Don't panic !
- No smoking!
- Wear gloves & cotton-based clothing!
- Be careful around ropes!
- Never wrap ropes around any part of you!
- Keep hair and loose items away from fan!
- Pay attention at all times to your surroundings!
- Don't get in front of a moving basket!
- Always keep one foot on the ground unless you are in the basket!
- Know where and how to use fire extinguishers!
- Have a lost balloon phone number!
- Be aware of hot burners!
- Watch for car traffic while packing up!
- Only do what the pilot directs you to do!
- Follow safe driving rules!
